We created this colourway for the zero waste restaurant, Silo, that started in Brighton and now resides in London.
This bold marbling style is inkeeping with the radical concepts of Silo, with dark greys and blacks marbled with transparent and translucent white areas. Bright splashes of white and yellow run throughout, creating explosions of contrast against the monochromatic tones.
The translucent plastic in this colourway looks almost like water, revealing the landscape that lies below the surface.
SILO TRAY
Made from 100% recycled waste LDPE plastic in our Brighton & Hove studio. Each piece is crafted by hand, and is totally unique in its marbling.
Approximately 200mm x 150mm x 5mm, with an outward-angled edge. The Weez & Merl logo features debossed on the reverse.
Smooth satin surface, usually with some minor surface irregularities.
Please note that due to the nature of recycling used plastic, our products may contain fabric fibres, splinters and the occasional piece of glitter, despite every effort being made to remove them. These come from the garments/products which the plastic bags originally contained when they were single-use packaging.
Some trays may have flecks of colours different from those seen in the photographs. The trays in the gallery are ones we feel are a good representation of the batch, and please be aware they are unlikely to be the exact coasters you receive.
